Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson could yet be CALLED OFF hours before fight is due to start

There is still a chance that Paul vs Tyson may not happen.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul could still be called off hours before the fight is due to start, it has been reported.

Tyson and Paul will fight in the early hours of Saturday morning UK time at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Both fighters took part in open workouts on Tuesday, with the build-up to the highly-anticipated bout now intensifying.

They were due to do battle in July, but the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered a health scare while on a flight.

The issue was reported as an ulcer flare-up, which 'Iron Mike' confirmed as a 2 1/2 inch bleeding ulcer during an interview for the 'Countdown: Paul vs Tyson'.

After revealing that he lost 26 pounds during his recovery, Tyson explained: "I went to the bathroom [on the flight] and I threw up blood. The next thing I know I'm on the floor. I was defecating tar.

"I asked the doctor, 'Am I going to die?' And she didn't say no. She said we have options, though. That's when I got nervous."

Understandably, some fans have had concerns over Tyson's health going into the rearranged fight, particularly given that particular scare and the fact that he is 58 years of age.

Although 'Iron Mike' has attempted to allay fears over his health ahead of the fight, it has been reported by Boxing Kingdom that he still needs to pass two health tests prior to Saturday - or the bout may be called off entirely.

What are the tests that Mike Tyson has to pass?

It is claimed that Tyson agreed to do the tests several months ago as part of safety precautions.

He will therefore have to pass a brain test (EEG) and a heart test (EKG) before he is permitted to step inside the ring in Texas. The tests were mandated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, it is said.

Speaking to boxing reporter Manouk Akopyan ahead of the fight, Tyson said: "Time changes. I was a different person back then [in his last professional fight in 2005], and it's time for me to come back.

"I was a different person, I was using narcotics and alcohol back then, and I'm not that person anymore ... I see a better picture of myself, I see light, I see the world from a different perspective now."
