Strict Netflix demand 'ignored' as Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul event descends into chaos and fans are furious

Strict Netflix demand 'ignored' as Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul event descends into chaos and fans are furious

Fans have voiced their frustration on social media.

A Netflix demand ahead of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight has reportedly been ignored by chiefs at the venue which is hosting the event.

Tyson vs Paul is the main event on Netflix's first live boxing card, which also features Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano.

The prelims have already got underway at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with Tyson vs Paul due to commence some time after 4am UK time.

The stadium, which can seat up to 80,000 people, plays host to NFL side Dallas Cowboys - and the stadium has long had an issue in relation to lighting.

In particular, one open part of the stadium causes sun glare issues for some players, with the problem re-emerging last week when Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb was blinded by the sun while attempting to collect a pass.

Travis Kelce called the situation "f**king ridiculous", with the glare affecting the crucial end zone in particular.

Despite Cowboys chief Jerry Jones denying that the glare situation was a major problem - and suggesting he'd need to build a new stadium to install curtains - the AT&T Stadium has closed its curtains ahead of the main card on Netflix.

Jones joked that the decision went against Netflix's wishes, claiming to 105.3 The Fan: "Netflix specifically didn't want the curtains!"

While the decision isn't likely to have too much of an impact on proceedings in Texas, Cowboys fans have been left furious at Jones over his call to put the curtains up for a night event but not day events.

One wrote: "He puts em up at night when there is no sun for an event that isn't football. But he won't put them up for the team he owns."

Another said: "Jerry's ego is f***ing ridiculous!!!"

A third added: "For a night event. Oh Jerry."

And a fourth simply stated: "Jerry is the biggest a**hole in sports."
