Chris Eubank Jr. should have his boxing licence revoked following his Conor Benn victory for 'consistency', claims ex-boxer Tyler Goodjohn.
Goodjohn fought under the jurisdiction of the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) when he was a professional boxer.
He was involved in plenty of big fights, many televised on Sky Sports, having competed under Eddie Hearn's Matchroom banner.
But the 33-year-old's boxing career in Britain was cut short after his licence was revoked following claims that he used a sauna to make weight for one of his fights, which is prohibited by the BBBofC.
Eubank Jr., who missed weight against Benn but made the stipulated fight-day weight limit, used the same method as he documented his struggles on social media.
Reacting to the star fighter's crash-weight practices, Goodjohn said: "The BBBofC revoked my professional Boxing licence for saying I used a sauna to make weight???"
Eubank Jr. is now the subject of an investigation as he awaits a potential outcome, which could range from a ban or a fine depending on if the BBBofC finds him guilty of breaking their regulations.
His boxing licence under the BBBofC could be revoked - something which Goodjohn believes should happen based on his own punishment.
Asked if Eubank Jr. should face any punishments for his weight cutting methods, Goodjohn told SPORTbible: "If it’s to be consistent with other fighters speaking on weight cutting it has to be a ban. He also filmed it, which was much more than I did, and I was slapped with a ban. I myself don’t believe anybody should be punished for making a fight weight. We are all there trying to make a living in the hardest sport out there. But the board must be consistent.
"We will see how they handle this case, but it looks very hypocritical from my point of view but when money talks there’s nothing else to say!"
Goodjohn, aged just 26 at the time, had his boxing licence revoked after the BBBofC accused him of using a sauna to make weight.
On his own experience, he recalled: "At the time, I was 26... had been English champion and had fought on many TV shows in fights of the night and it was how I made a living - something I had dedicated 16 years of my life to get as far as I was.
"So, when I found out my license had been revoked, I felt shocked and disrespected.
"The podcast talking about using saunas to cut weight was in no way glamorising what I had done, in fact I was speaking how detrimental to my performance it had been by doing it. I had, like I said, been involved in many big fights at the time and just felt completely disposable as a fighter and my career had been cut short before my peak years."

"Weight cutting is a known fact in combat sports so they either have to change their stance on day before weigh-ins so that fighters are not trying to cut extreme amounts of weight the night before and are forced to fight at a more natural weight," he added.
"Or be much more vigilante towards fighters in the last few weeks of training camp making sure they are not doing extreme things to drop weight in a short space of time like monitoring their weight more regularly."
Goodjohn turned to bare knuckle after his boxing licence was revoked by the BBBofC. He had four fights under the Bare Knuckle FC banner and secured the latest win of his professional career against Joseph Smith at BKB 40: Cardiff Brawl 3 last month.
