Former Olympian Josh Lakatos recounted his experience of the "debauchery" which went on in the Olympic village where sex is known to be rife.
The showpiece which takes place every four years, has a high amount of the most athletic people in the world and it's common knowledge that with testosterone flowing, plenty have used their spare time to hook up.
Although beds are made of cardboard and would ordinarily make it harder to have sex, condoms have been handed out to athletes staying in the village since 1988 in order to be protected and stay safe.

Since 1988, condoms have been handed out to athletes at the Olympic village and it appears as though they were particularly handy at the 2000 edition in Sydney.
In a lengthy ESPN piece about the amount of sex at the Olympics, former American target shooter Lakatos was open as ever about what his experience was like.
Having picked up a silver medal at the 1996 Olympics, he stayed beyond his commitments at the event as he was well aware of the fun that would follow.
Olympian stayed in the village after being ordered to go home
Despite he and teammates being ordered ordered to hand back his keys to a three-story property and go back home, he cheekily initiated a plan to stay, even enlisting the help of the maid who turned a blind eye to his antics.

Lakatos had the suite on the first floor for himself but the rest of the house was up for grabs and soon, after word got around, many athletes got involved - including US track and field stars and 'some Scandinavian' women's relay athletes.
The 52-year-old said: "The next morning, I swear to God, the entire women's 4x100 relay team of some Scandinavian-looking country walks out of the house, followed by boys from our side. And I'm just going, 'Holy crap, we'd watched these girls run the night before.'"

The vacant residence became known as 'Shooters' House' and for eight days Olympians enjoyed themselves and took advantage of the free condoms from the health clinic, with Lakotis adding that he felt as though he was "running a friggin' brothel in the Olympic Village" and had "never witnessed so much debauchery in my entire life".

In the same article, former US goalkeeper claimed some Olympics didn't even bother to do it in a room - stating she saw people having sex "right out in the open" - including "on the grass" and "between buildings".
It was reported that 300,000 condoms were given out to 10,500 athletes in Paris last year and there were "no restrictions regarding sexual activity".
