A 3D simulation has settled a race between Team USA medalist Noah Lyles and NFL's superstar Tyreek Hill.
Back in the summer, Lyles arrived at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as one of the biggest stars of the show.
The American went on to win the gold medal in the 100m and the bronze medal in the 200m.

This week, Lyles was back in the headlines as he took part in a 50m sprint against YouTube sensation IShowSpeed, with the professional winning by a tight margin.
On the back of the race between Lyles and IShowSpeed, NFL star Hill, who has regularly said he would beat Lyles in a race, took to X to write: "And track athletes think he gone beat me", accompanied by laugh emojis.
Hill is the definition of a speed demon and clocked in at 23.24 miles per hour. While at college, he recorded a time of 9.98 in the 100 metres, as well as 10.19 on the track at the Golden South classic in Florida.

Previously, a 3D simulation posted to the MotionAthlete YouTube channel showed exactly how Lyles would perform in a series of races with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Hill, who is widely regarded as the fastest player in the NFL.
The first race that the pair competed in was a 40 yard dash, something that Hill, who has earned the nickname 'cheetah' regularly does while competing in the NFL.
Hill's best ever time for a dash is a blistering 4.29 seconds, but in the simulation he improves on this with a time of 4.27 seconds.
And according to the simulation, this is the exact time that Lyles sets, meaning that a photo finish would be needed to decide who won the dash.

However, when it came to longer distances, the differences between Lyles and Hill became much more apparent.
Lyles set a personal best at the men's 100m event at the Paris Olympics, crossing the line in 9.79 seconds to claim the gold medal.
In the simulation he improved on this by one tenth of a second, with Hill clearly finishing behind with a time of 10.14 seconds.

The same goes for the 200m race, where Lyles recorded a time of 19.35, with Hill nearly a second behind crossing the line in 20.25 seconds.
