According to French journalist Santi Aouna, Olympique Marseille have submitted a loan offer with an option to buy for Nuno Tavares.
The report goes on to claim Arsenal have not yet responded to the proposal but would be open to the idea of loaning their Portuguese left-back.
Nuno Tavares experienced a very up and down first season in England, starting very well and even ousting Kieran Tierney for a period, but suffered in the second half of the season. Still, the left-back is just 22-years-old and his physical attributes provide the potential for a lot of upside.

A loan could be exactly what is needed for Tavares and Marseille could be a good place for the defender to play a lot of football. The historic French club qualified for the Champions League last season and will have plenty of games to rotate their options.
Arsenal and Marseille seem to be developing a good relationship, with William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi both joining the French club on loan last season, the latter in a move that should become permanent.
Should Tavares leave the club, Arsenal would be expected to seek cover for Kieran Tierney. This could open the door for a move for Lisandro Martinez to materialise.

Arsenal have been strongly linked to the Ajax centre-back this summer and would see the Argentine as cover and competition for left centre-back and left-back.
Nuno Tavares is among a number of players rumoured to leave Arsenal this summer, including Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari and Bernd Leno.
