Arsenal are set to go head to head with their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Inter Milan forward Martin Satriano, according to reports.
The forward is contracted to Inter until 2024, having joined from Uruguayan outfit Nacional in 2020. Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be interested in acquiring the services of the forward to bolster their attacking options.
Things haven’t been smooth sailing for the 21-year-old since venturing across the Atlantic to European football. Last season the forward made only four appearances for Inter, before being shipped out of loan to Stade Brest in Ligue Un, notching four goals in 15 appearances for the French side.

The Mail reported over a year ago that the Gunners had expressed interest in the Uruguayan, however, it remains unclear whether that pursuit is set to be reignited. Satriano’s agent claims that there has been “no concrete negotiation” between the player and any clubs.
Satriano himself is aware of interest originating from the Premier League:
“I have heard and read about Tottenham. I’m obviously glad that some teams have noticed me, but only because it means that I am doing well. I am young and I have to grow.”
However, any potential interest in the forward would appear to be preliminary at most, with talks accelerating for Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.

If any move were to materialise, one would suspect it would be with an eye to increasing squad depth in a season that sees a condensed fixture list, on top of the Gunners returning to Europe next season.
