The Ukrainian has enjoyed an extremely fruitful time at City since joining in 2016.
The defender has won four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and four EFL Cups too.
Arsenal will be hoping the player's vast experience of winning can rub off on his new team-mates.

The 25-year-old is extremely versatile and can provide competition in central-midfield and left-back, two positions Arsenal are keen to recruit in this window.
Arsenal had been in for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez who can cover similar positions, however backed out of negotiations when it became clear Manchester United would ignite a bidding war.
The Manchester club will eventually pay a total package of around £57m, nearly double the rumoured amount Arsenal will pay for Zinchenko.

Arsenal have already recruited one player from Manchester City this summer, signing striker Gabriel Jesus for around £45m. The two share a good relationship and should help each-other in adapting to their new surroundings.
If Zinchenko is signed, it will be Arsenal's fifth signing of the Summer. The Ukrainian follows Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Jesus.
Arsenal are far from finished there however, and will go back into the market.
