Arsenal outcast Lucas Torreira is to take part in the Gunners’ pre-season tour of the United States, despite being heavily-linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium, this summer.
The Uruguayan midfielder has been one of the lead candidates believed to be on their way out of North London after successive loan spells away from the club.
Torreira was hopeful his latest temporary switch could be made permanent after Fiorentina expressed their desire to keep the destructive midfielder.

The Italian club were unable to reach an agreement with the Gunners, however.
Arsenal were holding out for a bid in the region of £12.5 million but that fee was not met, throwing Torreira’s future up in the air.
Arsenal’s search for a midfielder, as well as the 26-year-old’s hunt for a new club, remains active.

However, it seems Torreira, according to his agent Pablo Bentacur may feature for the Premier League club once more.
Speaking on the interest reportedly shown by Juventus in the ex-Sampdoria man, Bentacur stated:
“Lucas to Juventus? He would like to stay and play in Italy."
“But today, Arsenal has called him up for the tour they will do in America, so he seems to be part of the program.”

The agent’s comments come after Torreira opened up about his current situation at Arsenal just last week, shooting down any hopes of him remaining at the club this season.
“There is no chance [of me staying at Arsenal],” the Uruguayan revealed after being quizzed on his failed switch to Fiorentina, last week.
“From the beginning, they told me that I had no place, so I don’t want to stay either because I suffered a lot."
“It cost me a lot to adapt and my idea is to now go to Italy, or Spain."
“What I wanted was to stay at Fiorentina but it didn’t happen for various reasons, so we’ll look for a new direction.”

Torreira joined the Gunners from Sampdoria in 2018 for £26 million, making 63 Premier League appearances since then.
After failing to catch Arteta’s eye, however, the midfielder was loaned out to Atlético Madrid in the manager’s first full season at the club before joining Fiorentina, again on loan, the following year.
The pint-sized midfielder featured 35 times for ‘La Viola’ last season, where he’d impress with five Serie A goals and two assists to his name.
