It is set to be a busy summer at Stamford Bridge for Thomas Tuchel, Todd Boehly and Chelsea as they embark on their new chapter following the completion of their £4.25bn takeover at the end of May.
After Roman Abramovich's departure was confirmed and the arrival of the consortium led by Boehly and Clearlake Capital was announced, planning was able to resume for the summer and beyond as sanctions were lifted, allowing the Blues to begin preparations for the 2022/23 season.
A squad rebuild is required in west London with several high-profile departures expected at the end of June, including defensive duo Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen as the pair look set to both make the switch to Spain to Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Tuchel is likely to have a clear out, many fringe players are likely to go if the right offers come in. The Chelsea boss is set to receive £200m in funds to rebuild his team after calling for Boehly to act quickly and decisively in the window.
"Let’s see when we will finally have the chance to act and make up because the disadvantage in terms of timing for the rebuild is big and we have to be fast and smart," said the Chelsea head coach prior to the club being sold.
Now that the club has been sold, work is already being done ahead of the window opening this month. But when can Chelsea officially start signing players?

The transfer window will open on Friday 10 June 2022 and will close on Thursday 1 September 2022 at 11pm (UK).
Chelsea have already been linked to a whole host of players this summer. Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is expected to be one of the first signings after the club failed to land a deal last summer.
Boehly has committed to going all-in and promising to sign the best players around the world to help Tuchel bridge the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League.

“We’re all in - 100 percent - every minute of every match," said Boehly. "Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success."
Chelsea will report back to Cobham for pre-season at the beginning of July ahead of their tour of the United States, and Tuchel will be hoping to have a signing or two through the door by then.
