West Ham United have pulled out of the race to sign Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri due to his personal term demands, according to reports.
The Italian is set for a Chelsea departure, with the Blues signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer,
The Spaniard arrived for a fee of £63 million in total and will fight with Ben Chilwell for the first team left wing-back spot this season, despite Emerson’s presence.

Emerson spent last season on loan at Lyon and played at left centre-back in pre-season under Thomas Tuchel, who will now grant the Italian a departure.
Tuchel recently spoke on the club’s potential outgoings this summer, saying: "In general, nobody is for sale.
“Nobody is for sale, and everybody is for sale.

"It depends on what the player wants, how bad the player wants it, what we think about who is ready to pay a certain amount of money and then maybe everybody is for sale.”
It was reported that Chelsea had rejected an initial offer from the Hammers for Emerson.
David Moyes’ side had offered £13 million, with the Blues waiting for a bid of £15 million in order to sell the defender.
According to Nizaar Kinsella, the sides were close to reaching an agreement over a fee as West Ham were set to offer £13 million plus a further £2 million in installments to sign Emerson.

However, as exclusively revealed by journalist Jack Rosser, West Ham walked away from the deal.
While Chelsea’s terms were acceptable, the Irons were put off by Emerson’s wage demands as they could not agree on personal terms.
This leaves Emerson’s future hanging in the balance, with Lazio, Napoli, Nottingham Forest and Atalanta all previously interested in signing the left-back.

It is unclear as to whether any of the aforementioned teams would come back for the defender this summer, or be prepared to meet his wage demands that West Ham were not.
Rosser continues to report that there is a slim chance that Moyes’ side could go back for Emerson later in the transfer window, but for now they're considering other options.
Having not been named in either of Chelsea’s matchday squads this season, the Italian will likely look to depart this summer after playing regular first-team football on loan at Lyon last season.
Chelsea will look to get Emerson off the wage bill as Tuchel builds his squad ahead of the transfer window closing.
