However, having recently signed a contract extension until 2027, the Blues must be prepared to pay a hefty fee if they are to sign the 21-year-old this summer.
Alternative names such as Josko Gvardiol and Milan Skriniar have also been linked with a move to Chelsea in the transfer window, with less than two weeks to the start of the Premier League season.
It remains to be seen as to who will join Tuchel’s squad this summer as time is running out for the Blues to make additions.
