Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri could be granted Chelsea exits if the Blues sign Marc Cucurella this summer, with Barcelona and Lazio interested in the pair.
Recent reports have stated that Chelsea have informed Brighton and Hove Albion that they will meet their £50 million valuation of the player this summer.
This would leave Chelsea with five options for the left wing-back role after the Spaniard signs.

Alonso has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Barcelona the most interested party.
Alonso has recently opened up on his future, refusing to complain about his situation in London.
He said: “On paper, I have a contract for one more year and that is where we’re at today. I’ve already said that I would like to play in Spain again, but it doesn’t depend entirely on me.

"I can’t complain about anything at Chelsea, but the desire to play in Spain is there. It doesn’t depend entirely on me and I’m happy at Chelsea, honestly.”
Therefore, it was believed that Emerson would remain at the club after returning from a loan spell at Lyon this summer.
However, it appears that the pair could be granted permanent exits this summer if reports are to be believed.
As reported by The Daily Mail, Cucurella’s arrival at Chelsea will likely see Alonso granted his move to Barcelona.

The defender’s departure to La Liga is said to be in the ‘final stages’ as he looks to return to Spain, with one year left on his Chelsea contract.
It remains unclear as to what price he will move to the Catalan giants for, but with Cucurella, a former Barcelona player, arriving at Chelsea, Alonso’s time could be coming to an end.
Furthermore, reports in Italy state that Emerson could follow his teammate out of the door at Stamford Bridge.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio are making ‘the final squeeze’ to sign Emerson and see him return to Italy.
They are pushing for the signature and ‘will do everything’ to see Emerson make the move to Lazio this summer.
The deal is likely to be a loan, but he will have to take a wage cut in order to secure the move to Lazio.
This is something that he ‘would gladly’ do as he wishes to play under Sarri once again, knowing that he will be a starter at Lazio.

An agreement is yet to be reached but it is thought that Lazio wish to do this before their opening league game against Bologna in mid august.
Therefore, Cucurella and Ben Chilwell are likely to be Chelsea’s left wing-back options for the next season, with Kenedy also able to play there.
