Chelsea have submitted a bid of over £50 million for Brighton and Hove Albion wing-back Marc Cucurella, with the two clubs also in talks over Levi Colwill, according to reports.
This comes after Chelsea had reportedly informed Brighton that they are ready to pay their £50 million valuation for the Spaniard in the coming days.
Chelsea were said to be closing in on the transfer of the 24-year-old, who is seen as an option in both central defence and as a wing-back.

The transfer is set to get the ball rolling in terms of outgoings at Stamford Bridge, also, with Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri heavily linked with departures, which could be granted if Cucurella signs.
Alonso will reportedly be granted a move to Barcelona once Cucurella, a former Barcelona player, arrives at Stamford Bridge.
Emerson, on the other hand, is being linked with a move to Lazio and a reunion with former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, with a deal said to be in the pipeline.

On the opposite flank, Chelsea have been linked with a move for Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters and could be set to make a bid for the England international if a deal for Denzel Dumfries collapses.
A move for the former Tottenham Hotspur defender will be discussed once Chelsea complete the signing of Cucurella, with the latest reports stating that the deal has taken another step in the right direction.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday evening Chelsea submitted a bid of more than £50 million to sign Cucurella.
The Blues are now hopeful of reaching a full agreement with Brighton over the Spaniard as they look to add the 24-year-old to their ranks this summer.

However, there has still not been an official answer from the Seagull's regarding the bid.
Cucurella is said to be pushing for the move because he wants to join Chelsea this summer as the Blues step up their pursuit of the Spaniard.
In a separate deal, Chelsea defender Colwill has been discussed with Brighton.

The defender was impressive on loan at Huddersfield Town last season but only made one appearance for Chelsea in pre-season as he looks like he could depart the Blues.
Chelsea are also looking to bring in another defensive reinforcement, with Wesley Fofana being heavily linked with a move this summer.
It remains to be seen as to whether Leicester City would allow the Frenchman to depart, with five years remaining on his contract.
However, Cucurella appears to be the priority at the moment as Chelsea await an answer from Brighton regarding the defender.
