Chelsea have confirmed the signing of former Brighton and Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella on a six-year deal.
The 24-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and the Blues have officially unveiled the wing-back.
There was much drama with the move as Brighton denied any agreement being reached on Wednesday evening, releasing a statement which wrote: "Contrary to inaccurate reports from numerous media outlets this evening, no agreement has been reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella."

However, Friday saw the official announcement of Cucurella, as the Chelsea website confirmed the transfer of the defender.
In a hilarious annoucnement, the Blues made light of the situation with Brighton as they tweeted: "Following reports from numerous media outlets this week, we can confirm an agreement has been reached with Brighton and Hove Albion for the signing of Marc Cucurella."

This comes after head coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed the signing in his press conference on Friday morning.
He said: “It’s not done yet. I don’t want to tell you that I know nothing. The paperwork is in process and hopefully we can get it finished before noon and Marc is our player."
The German continued to reveal his plans for his new signing stating: “He is a fantastic, young player. Hungry, mobile, very intelligent player.
“Can play several positions in our system, that’s why we hope the transfer goes through."

The deal allows Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill to spend the season on loan at Brighton, going in the opposite direction on loan.
"It opens some options like for Levi Colwill to maybe find some more game time elsewhere," Tuchel continued.
The Blues confirmed the deal at the same time as Cucurella's announcement, with the details of the loan move yet to be released.

Chelsea will be hopeful of having registered Cucurella in time for the Premier League opener against Everton on Saturday.
Tuchel's side travel to Goodison Park to face Frank Lampard's side as they look to start the season strong.
Last season the Blues fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Toffees and will be keen to ensure that this will not happen again as they travel to Merseyside.
It remains to be seen as to whether Cucurella will be in the squad, with Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri all options on the left-hand side of the Blues' back five for the match.
