Chelsea are taking a new approach to the transfer window under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital consortium, it has been revealed.
While the Blues are yet to make any official signings for the first-team squad this summer, they have been working hard behind the scenes.
Romelu Lukaku is set to join Inter Milan on a season-long loan, with his medical and contract signing set for this week.

A complete agreement has been reached, after an initial €5 million loan fee for the club-record signing had been rejected earlier this month.
A €7 million loan fee with further add-ons was then agreed, to see the forward return to Italy.
Thomas Tuchel has been handed control over incomings and outgoings in the transfer window, with Boehly acting as interim sporting director following the departure of Marina Granovskaia.

Petr Cech and Bruce Buck have also left their roles as part of the boardroom as Chelsea head in a completely new direction.
Boehly is said to be ‘living life on a plane’, as he jets across Europe to engage in transfer negotiations with Tuchel and ‘key players’ in the transfer market, looking to rebuild the Chelsea squad this summer.
The American is targeting no less than six incomings during the transfer window, with Raheem Sterling looking to be ‘done’ already.

Journalist Sam Lee revealed: He revealed: "I was speaking to somebody last week who reckons (Gabriel) Jesus (to Arsenal) and Sterling are both done.
“We're all very cautious of that word done in the transfer industry because it could mean anything, but it certainly seems to be where that one is heading."
Alongside Sterling, Chelsea have been linked with moves for Richarlison of Everton and Leeds United’s Raphinha.
The reason for the interest, according to Nick Purewal, shows the new approach that Chelsea are taking to speed up incomings this summer.

While unlikely to sign all three of Sterling, Raphinha and Richarlison, Chelsea are pressing on in their interest.
This is because the Blues wish to conduct ‘parallel negotiations’ to speed up the summer signings.
Tuchel is looking to rebuild his Chelsea squad and with pre-season training beginning on Saturday, the season is rapidly approaching.

Chelsea are still in the market for two defenders to replace the outgoing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, while several attackers could still leave.
Boehly will be hoping that conducting several negotiations at the same time will help speed up summer recruitment.
It remains to be seen as to who Chelsea will bring in during the transfer window, but with no less than six signings wanted, Tuchel and Boehly are working overtime to prepare for the season ahead.
