Chelsea are set to overhaul their bonus and contract structures this summer to keep motivation levels high, it has been reported.
Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s consortium took over from Roman Abramovich earlier in the year.
The new owners have already made their first signing in charge of the club, bringing in former Manchester City star Raheem Sterling for £50 million.

They soon added to this, adding Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly for £34 million, with the spending set to continue.
When asked previously about the ambitions of the new owners, Chelsea boss Tuchel said: “He (Boehly) is asking for an opinion.
“He also has players that he likes, and there are players offered to him.

"He can always have our opinion, and this is a lively discussion. There exists a kind of list, but it never exists where you put six names, and you say, bring me these players, or I leave. I had never worked like this.
“But, of course, the positions are clear, and the profiles are clear. Then there are one, two or three names on the list. And in the transfer periods, it does not take long for a fourth name, a fifth name, a sixth name to come from all sides.”
However, it is not just transfers that the owners have planned as they are now looking at a structural rebuilds

As reported by Matt Law of The Telegraph, the new owners are set to overhaul the bonus and contract structures in place.
This is in a bid to relevance the wage bill at Chelsea and keep motivation levels high.
The report reveals that new signings and transfer targets are being offered ‘heavily incentivised contracts’, including bonuses for Champions League group qualification and 60 per cent of games played across the season.

This differs from that of under Abramovich, where bonuses were based on winning trophies.
There have also been clear differences in terms of transfer policy, with the regime under Abramovich previously preferring to give players over 30 a one-year rolling contract.
Boehly’s regime has seemed to scrap this, with 31-year-old Koulibaly arriving to sign a four-year deal at the club.
It remains to be seen as to what further changes the new ownership will undergo this summer, with a sporting director set to join the club by the January transfer window.

Further signings are expected as the Blues look to challenge at the top of the league once more.
