Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly made a joke regarding Romelu Lukaku’s relationship with former boss Antonio Conte, last season.
The Belgian forward arrived for a club-record fee of £97.5 million fee but struggled to adapt to the system at Chelsea.
The previous season, Lukaku had netted 30 goals under Conte at Inter Milan on the way to their side lifting the Serie A title.

He enjoyed a less personal relationship with Tuchel during their time together at Chelsea, and has since completed a return to Inter Milan.
Their relationship was said to be ‘badly strained’, with a decision regarding his future being made by Tuchel and Todd Boehly.
The 29-year-old will spend the season back on loan at the San Siro, hoping to rediscover his form that led to Chelsea splashing the cash for his services.

Inter will pay €7 million plus add-ons during the loan move as they look to reclaim the title.
While it became clear throughout the season that Lukaku and Tuchel’s relationship was nowhere near as close as his previous with Conte, the German openly stated that he was looking forward to next season with the forward.
He said: “These are the players we have and Romelu still plays a big part in our plans.
"I feel him very motivated, very strong in training, very much involved when we do the games. He is a winner and he will stay a winner and stay important with us.”
However, it has now been revealed that Tuchel made a joke regarding Lukaku’s stronger relationship with Conte.

Speaking to The Italian Football Podcast, journalist Nizaar Kinsella revealed: “Somebody told me… Romelu Lukaku was chatting to Thomas Tuchel watching a Spurs Premier League match, and Tuchel said 'there's your daddy' about Antonio Conte.
“It was just a joke, but it didn't go down very well."

Following an unauthorised interview conducted back in December with Sky Italia, Lukaku criticised Tuchel’s tactical set-up and admitted that he dreamt of a return to Inter one day.
Now, Boehly has decided to trust Tuchel’s instincts and grant the Belgian his return.
Speaking after being unveiled in Milan, Lukaku could not hide his joy as he said:"I'm back baby. I'm very happy. Remember three years ago when we were here? Good to be back. That's what we are here for (to score lots of goals), I keep my promises you know that. Thanks for having me. Forza, Inter!"
Chelsea will be hoping to act quickly in the transfer market as they search for a replacement, with Raheem Sterling looking the most likely next option after a bid for Raphinha has been accepted.
