Callum Hudson-Odoi has made a major decision as he is set to join Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan, according to reports.
The 21-year-old is said to have informed Chelsea that he wishes to be allowed to leave the club on loan this summer as he looks for first team football.
The winger made just 28 appearances for the Blues last season, ending the campaign on the sidelines through injury.

Hudson-Odoi is also yet to feature for Chelsea in the opening three matches of the 2022/23 season as he looks set to depart.
Thomas Tuchel has recently provided an update on the youngster’s future, speaking before Chelsea’s loss to Leeds United.
He said: “I know there are a lot of talks.

"We will also not comment on our players. We will not encourage our players to go out in the moment.
“We had now two training sessions with 18 players. In a schedule where we play once a week it is not a problem.
"If I look a little bit, the chin up a little bit and look at the schedule that is coming with Southampton during the week and two Champions League matches, it’s coming. It’s in front of the door.
“We will need a lot of players and quality players to be competitive. At the moment, like I said, we have what we have. We know what we’re looking for. From there we go and only from there we can think about letting players go.”

However, it now appears that the winger will be granted an exit, at least on loan.
According to The Guardian, Hudson-Odoi is set to join Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on loan.
He turned down two proposals from Premier League clubs in preference of a move to Germany.

While neither club have been named, it was previously reported that the likes of Southampton, Newcastle United and Leicester City were interested in taking Hudson-Odoi on loan.
Furthermore, Stefan Bienkowski, a journalist that covers the Bundesliga, reported that the German side are pushing for the loan move to include an option to buy at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen as to whether the move will include such clause, with it previously believed that Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly pleaded with the 21-year-old to only leave on loan this summer rather than seek a permanent move.

Chelsea have already set their eyes on a replacement for the winger, with Everton forward Anthony Gordon a target this summer despite two bids already being rejected by The Toffees.
