Raphinha’s agent Deco has made a promise to Barcelona regarding the player’s future despite Chelsea having their bid accepted by Leeds United, according to reports.
It was revealed last week that the Brazilian forward is one of the Blues’ targets for the summer transfer window, with the club leading the race ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
However Barcelona have soon come into the picture as another side interested in a signing in the coming weeks, providing competition to Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Raphinha would be a player brought in to refresh Chelsea’s options going forward, with the Blues close to signing Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
While they remain keen on bringing the Brazilian from Elland Road to Stamford Bridge, they may now not be the leaders in the overall race.
According to Marca, his agent Deco has been in permanent contact with representatives from Barcelona over a potential move.

It is believed that he has ‘assured’ the club that his client will wait for them this summer and will not make any commitments to Chelsea.
The Blues have already made contact with Leeds and have told them that they will be willing to pay a fee of around €65 million for their star man, and Barcelona are not willing to ‘reach’ such a price tag.
Although Raphinha wants to play for them next season, Xavi’s side will need to find the money for the winger soon as the waiting game for the player ‘will not last forever’.
Chelsea are putting pressure on both Leeds and the 25-year-old to make a decision on his future as they do not want to wait much longer.

The Whites are ‘ready to accept the biggest offer’ for their player and the Blues are holding such a position, but his desire is to play at Camp Nou next season.
Tuchel’s side have already proposed personal terms, with an offer said to be worth around £6 million.
The German boss has been promised up to six new signings this summer as they look towards a Premier League title challenge next season, as well as strong showings in the cup competitions.

Sterling is set to make the move from the Etihad Stadium to west London soon, having spent seven successful years in the blue half of Manchester.
Chelsea have also been heavily linked with a move for Ousmane Dembele, but there is a chance he could sign a new deal at Barcelona.
