Chelsea have made a key decision in their pursuit of Raphinha amid transfer interest from Barcelona, according to reports.
The Blues are keen to sign the winger from Leeds United this summer as Thomas Tuchel’s side look to refresh their options in attack ahead of the new season.
It was revealed on Wednesday that after agreeing a fee for the Brazilian, Chelsea made a strong contract offer to the player, one that was the highest out of all the other interested clubs.

However in recent days, it appears as though a move to Camp Nou is more likely, with the player holding out for a move to the Spanish giants.
Such news has led Chelsea to make a decision in their pursuit of the player as they set their sights on other targets in the transfer window.
According to Raisa Simplicio, the Blues are putting pressure on Leeds and Raphinha to make a decision on the player’s future.

It is believed that Chelsea currently feel ‘threatened’ by Barcelona in the race for the player, and they do not want to wait much longer.
Leeds are ‘ready to accept the biggest offer’ for their star man, with Tuchel’s side currently holding that position.
However Barcelona have promised the Yorkshire side that they will improve their offer, but Chelsea do not want to wait much longer in their pursuit.
They have already agreed a deal of around £55 million with Leeds for the 25-year-old, who was crucial in keeping them safe from Premier League relegation last season.

It was also revealed that the Whites insist that they want to stick to the agreement they have in place with Chelsea, especially considering that Barcelona’s previous offer was not as good as the one proposed from the west London outfit.
However reports on Friday have suggested that Xavi’s side are close to sealing a deal for Raphinha, agreeing a fee of around €60 million that will be paid in instalments.
Such news could therefore spell the end of Chelsea’s chances of signing the winger, who scored 11 goals for Leeds last season.

While their chances of confirming one attacking signing could soon be diminished as a result of other interest, Chelsea are thought to be close to landing Raheem Sterling this summer from Manchester City.
He only has one year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, and is thought to have already held positive talks with Tuchel over a move to west London.
