Chelsea could reignite their interest in Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Graham Potter’s side held an interest in the defender towards the end of the summer window, but a move did not come to fruition.
The Dutch international is therefore still at the San Siro, having already made nine appearances in all competitions for them so far this season.

During the course of the summer, Chelsea signed three new defenders for their backline.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana all joined the west London side, with the Blues also adding other names to their roster for the campaign.
Despite spending the most out of any other side in the Premier League, it seems as though the Blues are not yet done with their business in the market.
January will present them the opportunity to sign new players, with the club already set to welcome the arrival of goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire at the beginning of next year.

Despite Chelsea spending heavily on their defence during the summer, they may look to strengthen it even further in the coming months.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Blues may renew their interest in Dumfries when the transfer window opens again.
It is thought that they would look to sign him permanently before sending him back to Inter on loan for the rest of the season.
The report suggests that Chelsea could be willing to offer around €50 million for his services.

Should he make the switch to Stamford Bridge, he will most likely compete with Reece James for a starting spot at the right wing-back position.
The 26-year-old, who signed for Inter last summer from PSV Eindhoven, recently spoke on the speculated interest surrounding his name.
He said: "The interest (from Chelsea and Man United) flatters me, of course.

"But my focus now is only on Inter. We want to win the Scudetto because we lost it last season."
Chelsea and Inter have already engaged in transfer business with each other over the last year, with Romelu Lukaku returning to the Italian side on loan this summer.
He re-joined the Blues last year for a club record fee, but a disappointing campaign in west London has now seen him go back to the San Siro.
Despite him joining for just this season initially, reports have suggested that the two sides are already discussing the possibility of a second campaign on loan.
