Chelsea have agreed a £45 million fee with Manchester City for the transfer of centre-back Nathan Ake this summer, according to reports.
The Dutchman is set to make a return to the Blues having initially featured for the club from 2012 to 2017, before leaving on a permanent deal to Bournemouth.
He spent three years on the south coast before making the move north to City, where he has won two Premier League titles in two seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

However it now appears as though the 27-year-old is on his way back to Stamford Bridge ahead of the new campaign, where he will join teammate Raheem Sterling as one of Chelsea’s new signings.
According to 90min, the Blues have now been able to agree a fee with City for his transfer, which is said to be around £45 million.
It is thought the deal’s ‘exact structure’ and ‘add-on sums’ are yet to be sorted, but personal terms between the player and the club are not thought to be an issue, with Chelsea ‘closing in on a deal’.

Ake made 17 appearances for the club during his previous stint, but he is now set to increase that number as he prepares to complete his move back to west London.
Previous reports have revealed that the club are working to complete the deal ‘within the next week’, with talks progressing as Thomas Tuchel’s side approach the completion of another summer signing.
He will join Sterling as one of the club’s new additions, with the winger set to be announced as the first men’s signing under their new ownership.
Armando Broja joined him on his flight to Los Angeles on Tuesday as the duo prepare to take part in pre-season training with the rest of the squad.

While Sterling and Ake will soon join the club, the Blues could be close to completing a deal for their third addition of the window.
They are hoping to seal a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly for a fee of around €38 million, with €2 million in add-ons.
