Ben Chilwell has hailed “unbelievable” Thomas Tuchel for giving Chelsea stability, the chance to win big trophies and showing faith in the current squad.
Tuchel was appointed in January 2021 after succeeding Frank Lampard and went onto win the Champions League just four months into the job.
Since then, the German has won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, while losing two FA Cup finals in back-to-back seasons against Leicester City and Liverpool.

Last season, Tuchel guided Chelsea to a third placed finish in the Premier League. The objective for the 2022/23 season is for the Blues to close the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool, to show consistency over a 38-game season in a bid to win their first league title since 2017.
“Everything is in place for next season,” admitted Chilwell. “It is just about working hard for each other to make it happen. Liverpool and City have set the bar high for the last five years. Every other team is aspiring to it.
“As a Chelsea player, I think we are the closest to getting there.

“At times last season, we showed we can compete with them but it’s the consistency that they’ve shown how they can do it season-in and season-out.”
Tuchel is set to be backed this summer by the new owners ahead of a rebuild after losing Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea need new additions, Raheem Sterling is expected to be the first through the door from Manchester City, with £200 million expected to be available.

Chilwell returning from a long-term injury will be like a new signing for Chelsea, who has been full of praise for his boss ahead of their pre-season opener against Club America on Saturday night in the United States.
The 25-year-old knows he will only improve under Tuchel, who has steadied the ship at Stamford Bridge, highlighting his trust.
"As players, we have full confidence in the manager – we know we're not going to get a better manager here,” Chilwell added.
“I'm not just saying it. He's an unbelievable manager in all aspects, and I think he has a lot of trust in us as well.

"Now there is that stability - everything that could have potentially been tricky last season has all been resolved, so it's up to us to work and try to get that consistency on the pitch, which is only going to happen if we put the work in away from match days.
“This is Chelsea, we want to win the big trophies. And of course, we're positive going into this season, like we are every season.
"We've got a strong team. Hopefully, we can add to that strength with some good players. We've got a great manager. New ownership. A great training ground. Good backroom staff. So everything's in place to have a good season."
