Anthony Gordon believes he is not worth the £60 million Everton were asking Chelsea for in the summer to part ways with the youngster.
The 21-year-old was the subject of strong interest from Chelsea who had several bids rejected as they tried to lure him away from Goodison Park to Stamford Bridge.
Gordon remained focused on his job at Everton and didn’t let transfer speculation get in the way despite the high transfer fees being touted around.

Everton wanted a substantial figure with valuations in excess of £50-60 million being touted if they were going to allow Gordon to join Chelsea.
Chelsea didn’t meet the valuation and he remained on Merseyside when the transfer window closed.
Gordon has opened up on the transfer saga and after insisting he didn’t push for a summer exit, the forward outlined his attitude over the ‘crazy’ fees and how he handled the speculation over his future.

As quoted by Standard Sport, he said: "That’s football nowadays - it’s absolutely crazy.
"Personally, I don’t think any player is worth that amount of money but I’m also not going to talk myself down.

"The money in football, that’s just how it is nowadays. You’re also paying for potential all the time these days. That’s just how football goes.

"I wasn’t too focused on that because I can only control what I can control.
"I think the minute you do that (think you’re a £60 million player), there’s only one way you’re going to go.
"You need to stay humble. You need to focus on today and tomorrow and don’t look too far into the future.
"That’s part and parcel of football. When you’re doing well, there’s always going to be that speculation.

"But because the place (Everton) is so good, it’s not a place where I’m devastated because I have to stay. That’s never been the case. I was never desperate to leave Everton. It was definitely not the case."
Everton boss Frank Lampard confirmed after the window had closed in September that the transfer was ‘never close’, adding: "It never got close to happening and that is great because it has shown where we are coming from and it shows where Anthony is mentally as a player."
