Chelsea are ready to pay up to £60 million for Everton forward Anthony Gordon this summer, according to reports.
The 21-year-old is a prime target for Chelsea with the summer transfer window closing in less than two weeks.
Gordon has been the subject of a bid in excess of £40 million from Thomas Tuchel’s side, but Everton rejected the offer swiftly.

It hasn’t deterred the Blues from continuing to pursue the youngster and talks have remained ongoing between the clubs.
Gordon is ready to join Chelsea this summer and following their 3-0 defeat to Leeds United, they have shown their intent of bringing the Everton attacker to Stamford Bridge.
As reported by Sky Sports and Adrian Kajumba of the Daily Mail, Chelsea are prepared to pay up to £60 million for Gordon with optimism growing over his signing.

The deal would be a guaranteed £50 million with £10 million in additional add-ons.
Chelsea are looking to make a few more additions before the window closes with talks ongoing over Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana and Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Tuchel spoke last week on potential incomings, saying: “Like I told you, we work together about the reinforcements but it’s never easy and it’s not that we can just wish for something and it will happen.

“As long as the transfer window is open, there’s always possibilities. We know what we are trying, we know what we are doing.
“The focus is on what we have, not what we could have. This is the team, they get their full energy and attention from us.”
Tottenham Hotspur are claimed to be ready to rival Chelsea for Gordon’s signature but their intent remains unclear with the Blues ready to make a big-money move for Gordon.
He is one of Everton’s key players and boss Frank Lampard is reluctant to let him leave as they fight to stay in the Premier League this term. Everton insist Gordon is not for sale.
Lampard offered an update on Gordon’s future and admitted it would be ‘naive’ to guarantee the youngster’s future at Goodison Park after the window closes.

"Anthony Gordon is an Everton player, and that’s it for me, I don’t want to talk about hypotheticals,” responded Lampard last week.
"He’s in the squad for tomorrow (to face Nottingham Forest last Saturday), any chats I have with him are private.
"He is an Everton player... he has got a huge value to the team and to me.
“You can’t ask me to assure anything, it’ll be naive of me to assure anything. I can’t assure I’ll be here by the end of the window.”

But Gordon has now requested to leave the Toffees, as reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic.
Both Lampard and Everton have been made aware of Gordon's desire to make the move. He wants to play Champions League football and believes a move to west London will increase his chances of making England's World Cup squad.
However, as it stands, a deal between the clubs is not imminent and there remains a chance that it does not happen before the September 1 deadline.
