Chelsea are confident of signing Everton winger Anthony Gordon this week as they prepare a new bid, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer as Thomas Tuchel looks to add to his squad.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to Leeds United, the German hinted at further reinforcing his squad this summer.

He admitted: "I don't know. We need to wait.
“The transfer period is still open. It gets later and later, and we need to focus on what we have and what we can do.
"We can obviously play at a high level, but we lost track when there was no need. We were not forced to lose track.

“Everything was going well.
"We can win with this team in Leeds, everything was going well, and we had goalscoring opportunities. "It went the other way, and I think it was more our fault than anyone else's credit."
The Blues saw a bid of £45 million rejected for Gordon, with Everton thought to value their youngster at at least £50 million this summer.
Former Chelsea boss and current Everton manager Frank Lampard recently opened up on the potential transfer, as he said: “He is an Everton player... he has got huge value to the team and to me.

"He's in the squad for tomorrow, any chats I have with him are private."
Despite Lampard’s public stance, it appears that Chelsea are optimistic about striking a deal for the 21-year-old.
According to The Times, Chelsea are confident of sealing a deal for the winger this week.

With a valuation of £50 million, it is though that Chelsea’s next offer will see add-ons included to bring the figure beyond the £50 million mark depending on his progress at Stamford Bridge.
With Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech all seeking exits by the end of the transfer window, Chelsea are reay to make a move for forward players.
The report continues to state that AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is also being targetted as Tuchel looks to add to his Chelsea squad before the end of the transfer window.
So far, none of the forwards have netted for the Blues in the new season, with Tuchel looking to compete at the top of the table this season.
