WWE legend Jeff Jarrett has suggested the "sky's the limit" for Elias and praised him for his "unique charisma."
Elias, real name Jeffrey Sciullo, was sidelined in September last year due to an ankle injury and made his sensational return in November.
The 32-year-old WWE superstar has had a heated rivalry with Jarrett after their memorable encounter in the Royal Rumble match in 2019.
While the Hall of Famer lost to Elias during his stunning return to Raw last year, the 52-year-old Jarret praised the 'Drifter.'
When SPORTbible asked Jarrett about the possibility of a rematch with Elias, he responded: "Never say never! It's certainly not in the plans or in the books right now, but I've got a lot of respect for Elias.
"His foot injury that happened a while back... man, what a tough break for all involved!
"He really gained some momentum and some attraction, but he's back on a roll now on SmackDown and the sky's the limit for that guy.
"He's got a lot of unique charisma that you cannot coach, you cannot teach. You're just born with it and he does have a bit of a unique charisma, so I'm excited to see where his career goes."
Jarrett said that he was thrilled with the WWE universe's reaction when he entered the Rumble match and clashed with Elias.
"It's crazy for me to be sitting here actually discussing that because, you know, it had been... I think one of the WWE websites or Twitter handles, the stats and statistics, it had been almost 20 years [since I appeared]," he said.
"My appearance on Raw to actually having a match it's the longest gap in between.
"So, it was 19 years and so many months and so it was a great response, a great reaction at the Royal Rumble in Phoenix and I walked out and it was done so well with Elias.
"We were one and two and for that to go down and just the back and forth and what a way to kick off the Rumble, so a lot of fun.
"And then, obviously, the couple of deals that we did on Raw and Road Dogg being involved and singing the song and getting the guitar engaged. It was a lot of fun!"
Jarrett also told SPORTbible that wrestling icon Chyna was "very deserving" of her Hall of Fame induction last year.
And the WWE legend admitted that he would be "excited" for a dream clash between The Undertaker and Sting at WrestleMania this year.
