Fans were left fuming at The Rock after he failed to appear at WrestleMania 41 over the weekend, despite previously being involved in a key storyline.
The Rock – formerly Dwayne Johnson – is one of the most popular stars to have ever competed in the WWE, and fans were keen to catch a glimpse of him at the company’s showpiece event, WrestleMania 41, over the weekend.
On Sunday (April 20), they had already watched on as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin appeared to crash a four-wheeler into the barricade, causing one fan to fall over.
And many expected The Rock to also make an appearance in Vegas, having last showed up at WWE Elimination Chamber in early March.

But the 52-year-old was nowhere to be seen, despite previously being involved in the storyline between John Cena and Cody Rhodes ahead of their clash on night two of WrestleMania, which Cena won.
Instead, rapper Travis Scott was in the thick of action, with BR reporting that he was “blatantly a stand-in for Rock”.
Cena celebrated with Scott after securing his first win at WrestleMania since 2013, when he beat The Rock.

But fans were not pleased with the WWE icon’s absence and were quick to voice their thoughts on social media.
One said: "I'm going to say it, they shouldn't have involved The Rock if they couldn't use him.
"Him not turning up in any of the build after EC and then not being involved in the match at WrestleMania makes absolutely no sense.
"It's been half baked and the match suffered as a result."

Another added: "The Rock is the biggest fraud in the history of professional wrestling.
"This man does not care about this business at all, he only comes back for his convenience.
"Truly an awful company man."
A third explained: "These guys ruined this WrestleMania big time. Absolutely horrible and awful ending to what should've been a memorable moment."

While a fourth commented: "I never want The Rock to be ‘involved’ in a WWE storyline ever again. If you’re not gonna turn up, what’s the point?"
