Why WWE were forced to give Elimination Chamber event different name in one country

WWE Elimination Chamber is set to take place in Toronto, Canada.

The reason why the WWE's Elimination Chamber event goes by a different name in one European country has been revealed.

On Saturday night, the road to WrestleMania 41 continues as the Elimination Chamber is due to take place inside the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.

It will be the second WWE Premium Live Event to be streamed on Netflix after February's Royal Rumble.

Two Elimination Chamber matches for men and women will take place this weekend, and the stakes are incredibly high.

The winners of the matches will get the chance to take part in a Championship match during WrestleMania 41, which is set to take place in Las Vegas in a couple of months.

John Cena, CM Punk, Logan Paul, Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Roxanne Perez are among those who are set to feature in this year's Elimination Chamber.

While it is well-known across the world, it has been claimed that the event goes by another name in one European country.

As reported by Essentially Sports, the Elimination Chamber is known as 'No Escape' in Germany.

The change of name is done to respect the victims of The Holocaust. The event was first known as 'No Way Out' in Germany but ever since 2013, the name has been changed to 'No Escape'.

Speaking ahead of the event, WWE Hall of Famer JBL has backed Cena to come out victorious.

He said on the 'Something To Wrestle' podcast: "I was wrong at the Royal Rumble, and I was happy I was wrong because I love Jey Uso, and I thought the swerve was really well done. Yes, I'm doubling down on John Cena. I think that promo he cut was just magnificent and there's only one like him. I think throw him a bone, I hope he goes over, I'm excited that he's there."
