WWE legend Brock Lesnar's response when Triple H asked him to make a shock return at SummerSlam has been revealed.
During the second of two back-to-back nights of action in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Cody Rhodes reclaimed the WWE Championship with a thrilling win over John Cena.
After a brutal war of attrition, Rhodes got the job done after putting Cena through a table and putting an end to the 48-year-old's 17th title reign.
Although Rhodes claiming back the title that he lost to Cena in the main event of Wrestlemania 41 back in April, the moment was clearly overshadowed by the unexpected return of former champion Lesnar.

And now, it has been revealed exactly what Lesnar said to WWE chief Triple H when he was asked to make his return during the highly-anticipated title clash.

Shortly after the end of the match between Cena and Rhodes, Lesnar entered the ring as his entrance music blared throughout the stadium before hitting Cena with his F-5 finishing move and promptly making an exit.
It marked the first time that the 48-year-old has entered the WWE ring since his loss to Rhodes during their SummerSlam match in 2023.

But despite and long spell away from wrestling, Lesnar was reportedly keen to make his return, as commentator Michael Cole explained during Monday night RAW.
"I had the opportunity to sit down with WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and I asked them a simple question,” Cole said.
"'When was it determined that Brock Lesnar would return to WWE?’ They told me they reached out Brock a number of weeks ago and said, ‘We believe it’s time for you to come home.’ Brock Lesnar said, ‘Let’s do it,’ and here we are.”

Lesnar's return came as a huge shock after former UFC champion Daniel Cormier recently claimed that the former 10-time world champion was on the 'ban list' of TKO, WWE's parent company, while speaking on an episode of the 'Mighty' podcast.
However, this claim was never confirmed as Lesnar remained an active member of the roster on the WWE website throughout his absence.
And WWE boss 'Triple H' has previously refused to state that Lesnar had ever been blacklisted.
Speaking to the Daily Mail in August 2024, he said: "If and when he decides that he would like to do something, we'd be open to the conversation."
