WWE legend and current AEW star Jeff Hardy has been arrested for suspicion of his third DUI in 10 years, blowing excessively over the limit.
According to ESPN reporter Marc Raimondi police responded to reports of a white car that had been ‘swerving’ off the road a little after midnight.
When the officer stopped the vehicle and interacted with Hardy the wrestler seemed ‘to be in a stupor and confused’ while smelling of alcohol, per the police report.
Raimondi reported that the former WWE champion undertook two breathalyser tests reading a blood alcohol content of 0.294 and 0.291, three times the legal limit of 0.08 in Florida.

Additionally Hardy was charged with Driving While Licence Cancelled/Suspended/Revoked, and Violating Restrictions Placed On Driver’s Licence.
TMZ reports that Hardy ‘had a driving restriction which required him to have an interlock device in his vehicle’, which his Charger did not have.
Hardy has a history of substance and alcohol problems, with this instance the third time since 2018 he has been arrested for driving while under the influence.
In March 2018, he was charged after getting into a car wreck in North Carolina, and again in October 2019.

PWInsider reports that Hardy was released from jail after paying the $3,500 bond, and will appear in court on Monday afternoon local time.
Hardy was scheduled to wrestle for WWE’s main competitor AEW with his brother Matt in a huge triple-threat tag team ladder match for the tag titles.
However, that match has since been pulled from promotion for the Wednesday show.

Hardy recently joined his brother Matt in AEW after leaving WWE in a bizarre incident during a live event in Texas.
Jeff abruptly left through the crowd mid-match without any explanation with WWE releasing Hardy after he reportedly declined their offer to go to rehab.
However, his brother Matt defended him on Twitch claiming he had passed his final drug test with WWE and the erratic behaviour was predominantly because of stress at the company.
Despite her husband’s comments, Matt’s wife Reby seemed to poke fun at Jeff’s situation in an odd TikTok.
Within the video, she is seen praying for Matt’s safety in the ladder match, before using a Tiger King reference to allude to the fact that Jeff’s actions mean the match will potentially be cancelled.
