Manchester United could be just days away from completing an agreement for Brazilian winger Anthony as Erik ten Hag looks to get going in the summer transfer window.
That is according to GOAL, who have reported that the agent of Ajax winger Antony has travelled to Europe to negotiate and potentially even close a deal with Manchester United for the signing of the winger. The reported fee that the deal could reach is close to the region of £52 million.

The 22-year-old, renowned for his flamboyant style of play, has been linked with the club for a number of months now due to United’s need for a right winger, and his impressive record working with Erik ten Hag last season.
He contributed 12 goals and 10 assists across 33 appearances for Ajax in the 2021/22 season, including 2 goals and 4 assists in 7 matches in the Champions League.
The fact that he is a natural right winger will add a new dimension to Manchester United’s attack, and United’s good relationship with the Ajax board coupled with the player’s good relationship with Ten Hag should make this deal fairly straightforward should the club choose to go for it.
With the transfer market opening on Friday, this move indicates that United are looking to get their business done early. The club have been linked to a multitude of players, reportedly having made an offer to Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong and showing definite signs of interest in players for other key positions.

United look to be targeting a left-footed centre-half, with names such as Sven Botman and Joško Gvardiol mentioned. The club have also reportedly been targeting Christian Eriksen as a free agent to add depth and quality in midfield, and had shown strong interest in Darwin Núñez before Liverpool put in an official bid for the striker.
Getting Antony over the line could be a big step for the club in this summer’s business, potentially opening the door for more and more signings to come in early on.
United are in need of a natural right winger and Antony certainly adds quality to the side, as well as a lot of intensity which the team has seriously lacked at times this season.

His previous work with Ten Hag seems to negate a lot of the risk surrounding the transfer, making it look like a solid deal for United. With Amad also returning to the squad after a loan spell at Rangers, there is no doubt that signing Antony will give the Red Devils a new dynamic down their right wing.
