It seems that Manchester United are preparing for the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club, with them keeping tabs on two potential replacements.
The Red Devils have been aware of the 37-year-old's wish to leave Old Trafford since early in the window.
However, with many clubs not interested in Ronaldo, it seems like he will likely remain at United once deadline day passes.

But, Erik ten Hag's men are clearly not keen on being unprepared should he leave before Thursday and have contingencies in place.
It has been reported by the ever-reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic that the Reds have been keeping tabs on two forwards whilst Ronaldo's future remains uncertain.
Those were revealed as Barcelona front men Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The former Arsenal man looks likely to leave the Spotify Nou Camp, with Chelsea interested in his services as well.

Although, the aforementioned report also mentions that The Blues are having second thoughts about a potential signing of Aubameyang.
This could leave an opening for Ten Hag's side if Ronaldo finds a club that is willing to pay his salary.
The striker scored 92 goals whilst at The Emirates and has proven himself as a reliable scorer in the Premier League.
Yet, at 33 years of age, he is not a long term option for United and his demise at Arsenal came following disciplinary problems.

This would likely be something that the new Dutch manager would want to avoid bringing in at Old Trafford, after he's been so clear in the need for the squad to be together with a good mentality.
The other option presented was a player that United let go in 2017.
After being brought to the club by Louis van Gaal in 2015, but then sold two years later by Jose Mourinho.

He has since became a reliable goalscorer for Lyon, scoring 76 goals and grabbing 56 assists in 178 appearances. That form earned him a move to Barcelona at the beginning of last season.
Whilst that move has not paid dividends, Depay is still a great option should Ronaldo leave the Theatre of Dreams.
Depay also has an excellent record for his national side. He's scored 42 goals for the Netherlands, that is only eight less than another former Red in Robin van Persie, who holds the country's record.
The 28-year-old would be seen as a more realistic and valuable option if United are going to dip into the market.

He was one of the most talented players around when he made his move to Old Trafford originally and unfortunately it did not work out.
Yet, he is now wiser and more experienced. He could provide solid competition in the front line following Antony's prospective signing from Ajax.
