Manchester United and Real Sociedad will take each other on at Old Trafford during match week 1 of the 2022/23 Europa League season.
The fixture takes place with Manchester United winning four games on the bounce, while Real Sociedad are suffering from mixed form in their La Liga campaign so far.
Manchester United
United have almost a full squad available for the fixture, bar some of the more obvious absentees.
Advert
Erik ten Hag confirmed on Wednesday that Anthony Martial still is not available for selection, while Victor Lindelof returned to training last week and was on the substitutes bench against Arsenal.
Facundo Pellistri is still side-lined with an ankle injury, however is in the final stages of his rehab and has been named in Uruguay’s provisional squad for the upcoming matches later this month.
Real Sociedad
There is one glaring hole in the Real Sociedad team at the moment, and that is left winger Mikel Oyarzabal. The Spaniard suffered a cruciate ligament rupture last season and is not due to return from injury until the middle of October.

They also have three other players currently injured in striker Carlos Fernández, centre-back Robin Le Normand, and left winger Martín Merquelanz.
The match will kick off on Thursday evening, with Erik ten Hag likely to make a number of changes to his XI, with Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo expected to start.
