Manchester United’s kits are always a big talking point of pre-season.
From pink to black to blue, the club have had many both iconic and controversial away kits through the years, and this time round the club and Adidas have come through with a more simplistic design.
On 8 July, United officially revealed their 2022/23 home shirt, featuring the classic collar design and border around the famed red badge.

And with the club set to play Crystal Palace on Tuesday, the timing of the release means fans can only assume that it will be debuted in Manchester United’s third pre-season game of the summer.
The white kit features minimal design on the shirt, with the TeamViewer sponsorship logo appearing in a contrasting black featuring the usual logo on the left hand side of the text.
The sleeves end with a black bar around the top half of the cuff, with the bottom half of said cuff in white.

The black side features a minimalistic pattern of small red and white bars, and the same design can be found around the neck of the shirt.
One bold part of the shirt is the iconic three Adidas stripes on the shoulder, with two outer stripes surrounding a black middle stripe.
The most striking part of the top is no doubt the badge. Much like the home kit, there is a border around the United crest, but unlike the home shirt, the space between the border and the club badge does not match the kit colour.
Instead, Adidas have opted with a black filler, making the entire design pop out from the rest of the kit.

After Crystal Palace, the club will play one more fixture in Australia against Aston Villa in Perth before heading back to Europe.

As pictured above, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho all took part in a launch event in Melbuorne to promote the new kit.
The set itself showed a quite brilliant upside-down changing room as part of the theme of Manchester United being "down under", since Australia is almost on the opposite side of the world to the Old Trafford home changing room.

In Oslo on 30 July, Manchester United will meet and do battle with Atletico Madrid, before a final fixture the following day against Rayo Vallecano rounds off the six-match pre-season tour.
Erik ten Hag’s men will then debut in the 22/23 Premier League season against Brighton & Hove Albion on 7 August as the club bid to get back into the Champions League.
