Manchester United came away with all three point in Moldova as they beat Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0 in the Europa League.
The win saw Manchester United move to second in the table, with Lisandro Martinez putting in another exceptional display at the back alongside Raphael Varane.
Speaking to MUTV after the game, Martinez recognised how important a win on Thursday evening was.

"Tonight we had to win as we needed the three points. It was very important to us," he said after full time.
"We work very hard everyday in training and today (Jadon) Sancho scored a fantastic goal."
Sancho's goal opened the game up, and it was a brilliant finish after a lovely fake shot created the space to finish.
The young English winger has been on good form this season, scoring three goals already, and has sent a message to Gareth Southgate after not being selected for England's latest squad.

"But also how we played was fantastic, as I think everyone touched the ball and then Sancho finished it," Martinez continued. "It was a fantastic finish and everyone celebrated it."
The other goal in Thursday's fixture came from Cristiano Ronaldo, who is finally off the mark for the 2022/23 season after failing to score so far this season.
"We know how big Cristiano Ronaldo's goals are," Martinez said. "It is very important that he scored tonight for his confidence and for the team. We win 2-0 and it is great for us."
Despite the fixture being played far from Old Trafford, there were over 600 travelling fans who attended the game and the support from them was class as always, which was recognised by Martinez.
"I am really happy," he said when asked how it feels to hear his name being sung among the Manchester United fans.

"I am a little bit surprised by that, but at the same time I feel proud to come here, the best club in the world and for the people to say 'Argentina, Argentina' for me it is amazing."
"Thanks to the fans for the support."
