Manchester United's line up to face Everton in the Premier League has been confirmed, with Anthony Martial starting under Erik ten Hag for the first time.

Manchester United's last few matches have seen the club on mixed form, with a 6-3 defeat to rivals Manchester City followed by a 3-2 Europa League victory against Omonia.

In both fixtures, Anthony Martial scored, and he is now in the XI for the first time under Erik ten Hag.

Martial has suffered from injuries for the majority of the season so far, however in the three fixtures he has played under the Dutch manager against Liverpool, City and Omonia, he has three goals and an assist to his name.

Speaking after the Omonia victory, Erik ten Hag told BT Sport: "We have already seen (Martial's importance) in pre-season. It was a big disappointment for the team and for me when he got injured against Atletico Madrid.

"We missed him in the first couple of weeks and it also had an effect on our team performance."

He continued to speak on the striker, saying "Luke (Shaw), Marcus (Rashford) definitely, but also Anthony Martial (looked sharp).

"I think the subs really had an impact today. That's really good and makes the team stronger."

"We started well, [created] a couple of chances. Then, unnecessary mistake, it cannot happen, you have to take responsibility there," Ten Hag said.

"Then a really bad 10 minutes, we have to learn from that."

The line-ups for the fixture have now been confirmed.
