Manchester United are facing Real Sociedad in the first fixture of the Europa League campaign.
Erik ten Hag has answered that despite the Europa League not being Europe’s premier club competition, it is still a competition that will require hard work to win if Manchester United want to lift their first trophy since 2017.
With regards to who will play, the Dutch manager was adamant that the whole squad will be necessary throughout the campaign.

“I know that you need more than 11 players to get successful and I know we have a really good bench in this moment and also,” Ten Hag said during his pre-match press conference.
“When they come on, they really contribute to the success we have now.
That is also what we expect but I know also that the players on the bench, they will have their games as a starting-XI player."
