Manchester United fans are eager to see the club’s two new signings in action.
Unfortunately for them though, it has been confirmed that neither Christian Eriksen or Lisandro Martinez will be joining the Red Devils on their pre-season tour of Australia.
Christian Eriksen was confirmed as a Manchester United player on Friday, with the player signing a three-year contract with the club.

It was also confirmed that United have agreed a fee with Ajax for the transfer of Lisandro Martinez, although the completion of the deal is still subject to a successful medical, official agreement on player terms and the processing of a UK work visa.
Manchester United are set to play their second fixture in Australia against Crystal Palace on Tuesday morning, with the club looking to continue their good form.
The tour started in Bangkok with a 4-0 victory over Liverpool, with Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri getting on the score sheet.

The club then hit another side for four at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with Melbourne Victory suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and an own goal created by Tahith Chong.
Erik ten Hag was asked by club media on Monday if Eriksen and Martinez would be able to join the squad in Australia, however his response was one of dissapointment.
“Unfortunately we cannot have them here in the tour,” Ten Hag explained, “because at the moment they arrive here we will fly back. So that doesn’t make sense.”
As well as a fixture against the aforementioned Crystal Palace, Manchester United also face another Premier League side in Aston Villa in Perth.

Ths fixture is the final of the three during the Australia part of Tour 2022.
Despite the disappointment of the two new recruits not joining down under, the Dutch manager has expressed his excitement at the new additions to his squad.
“We cannot wait to involve them in our squad and the fans also cannot wait.”
The two players will most likely join the rest of the squad once the club lands back in Manchester on 24 July.

There are two final fixtures that round off the pre-season period, with a trip to Oslo to face Atletico Madrid on 30 July followed by a final preparation fixture at Old Trafford against Rayo Vallecano the following day.
Speaking on Eriksen, Ten Hag said: “The expectations are there. That’s why we get him.
“I’m convinced he will fit into the squad and in certain facts of our game, he will help us. I’m looking forward to that.”
And on Martinez, he commented: “He brings aggressiveness in the game, in a good way. I think we need that. But also, he’s also skilful and he can deal with the ball and he’s left-footed.”
