Luke Shaw has opened up about Erik ten Hag’s time at Manchester United so far, expanding on his direction and the family feel surrounding the squad.
It has been mentioned many times in the past that the dressing room has seemingly been in disarray.
In his interview, Shaw addresses the new direction United are taking.

“I think definitely for the team we're moving in the right direction,” the English defender told MUTV.
“The manager obviously had to come in and bring in his ideas, his structure, what he wants from the team - as a team and also individuals.
“I think everyone's sort of buying into that and really enjoyed pre-season.
“Like I said, we've definitely moved in the right direction but we've also got a lot to improve on. We know that, we know we need to get better.”

Erik ten Hag has impressed fans with both his on and off-field antics, and has given fans a new excited feeling during a pretty dismal period in the club’s history.
Manchester United have not won a trophy for over five seasons, since Jose Mourinho won the Europa League trophy with them back in 2017.
Luke Shaw is aiming for silverware under the Dutch manager.
“I think of course we're always looking for a great start,” he detailed.

“I think as a team we need to aim high and I think aiming high is to win trophies. It's been a while now.
“Under a new direction, I think it's certainly something we should aim for. We have to aim higher.
“We have to step the standards up and we have to aim high for what we want to achieve.”

Speaking on the atmosphere in the dressing room, Shaw was quick to explain that “it’s good.
"I think it’s always been good. We all get on really well and we’re like a family.
“We all get on really well, we're kind of like a family. I think it's important. I think we need to create a sort of family atmosphere.
“I think with that, everyone feels together, close and I think it makes out on the pitch better.

“When we're together we know what everyone likes to do and what they want, so I think it's definitely a good vibe and I think even more enjoyable as well with obviously the new manager and his ideas.”
Manchester United take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday as part of the opening weekend of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
