Following on from the latest reports from Fabrizio Romano on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United could sign a right-back to challenge Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford.
The English full-back has fallen behind his Portuguese counterpart in the pecking order since Ralf Rangnick joined the club as interim manager last season.
Dalot has shown his importance to the right-hand side so far under Ten Hag in pre-season and Wan-Bissaka has failed to impress in his appearances.

It had been previously reported by Romano in his caughtoffside column that United will think of an addition in the position if Wan-Bissaka leaves the club.
He added that Erik ten Hag would assess him across the course of pre-season and make a decision.
Since then, United have travelled back to Manchester following their tour of Thailand and Australia and there seems to have been development on the right-back front.

The Italian journalist revealed on Sunday morning that United are now expecting offers to come in for Wan-Bissaka.
This could mean that replacements are being sounded out.
It wouldn't make sense for United to let go of the defender without a potential transfer in the pipeline, especially considering the next depth option in Brandon Williams is also rumoured with a £15 million move to Brighton.

Another option, however, could be utilising 20-year-old Ethan Laird as the back-up option for Ten Hag.
He joined the squad on tour and appeared twice against Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace.
Laird is a talented youngster, and has experienced successful loans at MK Dons and Swansea City, before learning some different lessons whilst at Bournemouth in the second half of last season.
If United are to dip back into the transfer market, there are a number of options that they could go for.

La Gazzete reported that the Reds would be ready to make an offer for Denzel Dumfries, who Inter Milan value at €40 million, if they are successful in selling their 24-year-old full-back.
Yet, with the standoff involving Frenkie de Jong, it would be surprising if this will be an expensive addition, as United look to keep their cards firmly against their chest in case any developments occur with the deal for the Dutch midfielder.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka signed for the club if the summer of 2019 and enjoyed a successful first season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Yet, since then he has been able to kick on and develop his attacking game, which makes Dalot a much more suited option to Ten Hag's style.
