It has been officially confirmed that Dean Henderson will spend the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest.
The Manchester United goalkeeper had little opportunity behind David de Gea last season.
After a poor previous term, De Gea was one of United's standout players last year.

He won the Players' Player of the Season following a disappointing year for the Reds, where they finished sixth in the Premier League.
This has led to the departure of Henderson next season.
However, it is only on a loan deal, with the Englishman hoping to prove his worth as he did when on loan at Sheffield United a few years ago.
The promoted Forest needed a new goalkeeper after news broke that Brice Samba could leave the club.

He was one of their key players last season, but they believe that Henderson can have a similar impact to when he was promoted with The Blades in 2019/20.
He was one of the best no.1s in the league that year, with Sheffield United finishing in ninth place, with an incredible defensive record to boast.
They conceded just 39 goals that season, and six of those came when Henderson was ineligible to play against his parent club.

With Forest entering the top flight for the first time in over 20 years, they will be desperate to see Henderson pull out that form, after being second fiddle at Old Trafford the last year.
This support is shown through the fact that Forest are paying the entire of the goalkeepers wages while he spends the season there.
That is 110,000-a-week, which United will be thankful to have off the wage bill until they make a long term decision to whether he stays at the club or not.
It seems clear that the decision is yet to be made.

Although De Gea has regained some of his form of yesteryear, there are still doubts amongst the fanbase to whether he can adapt to the football that Erik ten Hag will want to play.
The Reds have also made certain that there is no option to buy Henderson for Forest.
After impressing when he played for United in 2020/21, Henderson would've thought this season was the one where he would overtake De Gea as the number one.

Long Covid, however, kept him out of the team at the start of the season and he was never able to reclaim the spot, with De Gea performing well throughout the campaign.
He will hope that he can put his career back on track with this loan to an exciting, historic team that are returning to the Premier League.
