Erik ten Hag has explained his team selection ahead of his very first Manchester United game.
The Reds face their bitter rivals Liverpool in their opening pre-season fixture in Thailand and the manager has brought out a strong starting eleven.
Jurgen Klopp's men were not as strong in their line-up, but it is understandable as they yield a strong squad in comparison to United.

Ten Hag accepted the opposition's strengths, but also stated that the Reds have started their pre-season training well.
"It's something to have the first game immediately against Liverpool - one of the best teams in the world at this moment,
"I'm really looking forward to it.

"The players are ready for it, we've had some good training sessions."
However, the Dutchman clarified that work is still to be done.
This is the first fixture of United's pre-season, so it is expected that they are still adjusting to how the new manager wants them to play.
"Of course, there is still a lot to be developed." Ten Hag said.

"You cannot expect that everything comes automatically. Some misunderstandings will come up,
"But then you have to fight and battle for each other, stick with each other and play this game through."
The manager is also ready to play in front of the crowd, which is similar to those in England with a United obsession.
Advert
"It's incredible what we just experienced on our way to the stadium.
"The people are so excited and so energetic. In England, there is also the culture of excitement of football."
Kick-off begins at 14:00 BST.
