Manchester United had a catastrophic 2021/22 season, and in recent leaks it shows that this has clearly affected the ratings of their players for FIFA 23.
The football video game, played by millions of fans around the world, has had a number of its ratings released on Twitter.
The ratings of a number of Manchester United players have been released, and it is clear that these have been impacted by United’s horror show last season.

As expected, Cristiano Ronaldo tops the ratings list with an overall rating of 90. This is his lowest rating in over a decade.
Following Ronaldo is new signing Casemiro, who holds an 89 rating. Casemiro made his debut for the club in the weekend win over Southampton.
Next up, bizarrely, is David de Gea with a rating of 87. Whilst often portrayed as a hero for his saves last season, De Gea being that highly rated having conceded 57 league goals is very confusing.
Bruno Fernandes with a rating of 86, and Raphaël Varane, Lisandro Martínez & Jadon Sancho - all 84 - round out United’s top five ratings.

These drops are somewhat expected. Fernandes’ form fell off a cliff for United last season, Varane had issues with injuries (although United were far better with him) and Sancho had some teething problems.
Harry Maguire saw his rating fall to 81 after a disastrous campaign last season. So far this season, he has yet to turn things around.
Maguire started the season alongside Lisandro Martínez, but after two matches was dropped and the form of Martínez and Varane in the two games since makes it a long road back for the captain.

Luke Shaw, rated 80, finds himself in an almost identical position after being dropped for Tyrell Malacia at the same point, with the Dutch full-back impressing since.
New €100 million signing Antony comes in with a rating of 82, but aged 22 there is room for him to grow yet.
His Brazilian counterpart, Fred, holds an 80 rating. His regular midfield partner over the years, Scott McTominay, is rated the same but this is perhaps unfair to Fred, who showcased far more quality last term.

Diogo Dalot holds a rating of 78, which if he keeps up his recent form across the season has potential to skyrocket. He has been one of United’s most impressive performers.
Anthony Elanga carries a rating of 74 and Tyrell Malacia’s rating is yet to be revealed, along with all the other unnamed squad members.
FIFA 23 will be released in September, at which point it is hoped that United’s form will have continued to improve the way it has in the last two games and they will be closer to the top end of the table.
Manchester United will continue this attempt at a revival on Thursday evening away to Leicester City in their first midweek game of what will be the busiest season ever.
