Despite a slight set-back last time out against Aston Villa, Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways against Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United have played four games so far this pre-season as part of Tour 2022, with the club getting their fitness back in Bangkok, Melbourne and Perth. The side emerged victorious in three of their four fixtures, beating Liverpool, Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace, before the squad drew 2-2 with Aston Villa in Perth.
So far this pre-season, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial have been the club's standout performers, with noticeably great matches so far coming from Fred, Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford too.

Both Martial and Sancho have scored three apiece over the four friendlies so far, with all four opening goals for Manchester United being scored by one of the pair.
Speaking on the result against Aston Villa to MUTV, Ten Hag said: “First half, decent performance, two-nil up. Second half, we came back out of the dressing room, we had to control the game but we gave it away. That’s no good, so there is a lesson.
“I think the players and the team have made a lot of progress. I will say a lot of positive aspects, also setbacks, but this is part of the season. You have to deal with it.

“We played a different type of football and different systems and I think this will also be the case [against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano]. We face two Spanish teams. A different approach.”
