Gary Neville has vowed that Manchester United's supporters will not be tricked by the Glazer family after they spent over £140 million in the last week of the transfer window.
The former club captain has been vocal in recent weeks of his own personal discontent with the ownership at Old Trafford.
He publicly urged the family to sell United following the team's opening day defeat to Brighton last month.

"You talk about the players, look, the time has come for the Glazer family to sell the football club," he said whilst speaking on Sky Sports.
"The time has come, it's now."
Since then, United hit another low against Brentford the following week, where the team conceded four in the first half.
The following game saw a large pre-match protest against the Glazers, although, they had already began to feel the pressure of the back-to-back losses to start the season.

Casemiro came in from Real Madrid for around £60 million, a deal that was completed extremely fast. His Old Trafford unveiling before the game seemed like the first attempt to weather the storm of discontent.
Then, Antony's signing from Ajax on deadline day for just over £85 million was another great signing for the club, but also another reminder to not ease pressure against the ownership. He scored on his debut against Arsenal on Sunday.
Neville explained that this is not the first time that the Glazers have tried this trick on the fanbase and, despite the signings and recent improvement, he stresses that that supporters will not give up in their battle.

"Manchester United have had to do what they've done in previous seasons, which is to appease the fans," the former right-back said on his Sky Sports podcast.
"The (Glazer) family, I'm going to mention them, that's what they do,
"They buy players, they sack managers, to basically get the fans back on side and to try and quell the absolute discontent that's occurring,

"But the fans are still singing about the Glazer family throughout the game, before the game and even at the end of the game.
"It's not going to go away,
"I have to say, the amount they spent... it was budgeted there was going to be £140 million spent, they've spent £230 million.
"They'll say that was strategic or that it was in the planning, it wasn't."

The former United captain did mention that the current on-pitch situation is starting to look promising again.
"However, the upside is that the most important thing at the moment on the pitch is that the players give their all," he added.
"And that team for the last couple of weeks has shown a Manchester United spirit,
"A spirit that every fan at every other club wants as well."
Recent reports have said that around £3.75 billion would be enough to purchase Manchester United from the Glazer family, and Sir Jim Ratcliffe has recently expressed his intention to buy the club.
Despite the recent on-field progression, United fans will certainly not give up in the fight against the ownership at the club.
