Erik ten Hag has opened up about the signing of Christian Eriksen at Manchester United, and believes that the midfielder can be a great addition to his squad.
The 30-year-old was a primary target for Ten Hag this summer, after he lost a number of midfielders, including Paul Pogba and Juan Mata, for free transfers in the summer.
With the need to strengthen the engine room, the Dutch manager is delighted with the acquisition of Eriksen.

After suffering a cardiac arrest last summer with Denmark at Euro 2020, Eriksen made his comeback to the Premier League with Brentford in January.
His performances in the back-end of the campaign proved the notion that he is not yet done at the top level, and that was reiterated by the man himself after he signed with the Reds.
"I still have major ambitions in the game, there is a huge amount that I know I can achieve, and this is the perfect place to continue my journey." Eriksen told the club website after his announcement was made.

Ten Hag echoes the opinion that the signing is a great one for United.
"He’s an experienced player. He plays in countries abroad, in Italy, in Holland, a long time in England, so he knows the Premier League,” he told club media.
“It’s an absolute advantage that we have him in.
“I think he is a magnificent football player and I think the fans will enjoy watching him, because he’s creative, he has ideas,

“I think especially our strikers will also be happy because he’s the one who can involve them in the game.”
With Bruno Fernandes recently being given United's number eight following Mata's departure, it's likely he's a key member of Ten Hag's team.
But, Eriksen gives a brilliant depth option and he also showed under Thomas Frank that he can still operate in deeper areas in England's top flight.

Shortly after Eriksen put pen to paper, United announced that an agreement has been reached for the signing of Ajax's Lisandro Martinez, subject to a medical, player terms being finalised, and to UK visa requirements.
Whilst there has only been three additions thus far, United and Ten Hag are focused on getting the right players.
The approach is a breath of fresh air, with specific targets being followed and that should be a positive as United enter the new season.

“The fact that we've got him, we have him now in our squad, tells everything, because I think we were really selective." Ten Hag explained when speaking on the signing of the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
“It was not the point to get players in, but the right players in. I’m really happy that we succeeded with Christian Eriksen.”
