Erik ten Hag is looking forward to seeing his new signing Tyrell Malacia in action, and has detailed his profile and the reason behind his signing.
Malacia was snatched from the grasps of Lyon, and has ended up in Manchester with the manager who was very fond of him during his tenure in the Eredivisie.
It seems as though the left-back will be competing with Luke Shaw going forward.

Alex Telles could be on the way out, with it being reported that the club will listen to offers for the Brazilian who joined United two years ago.
Malacia's played 50 games for Feyenoord last season, as he was a key member of the squad that reached the Europa Conference League final.
At just 22 years of age, the defender will be hoping to further develop his game under the stewardship of his fellow countryman.

Ten Hag believes that the player fits the team very well.
“I think he’s the modern left-back or full-back," He told the club website.
“He suits the profile [we were looking for] and most important from every full-back is that he closes the right area.”
Gone are the days of defensive full-backs at the top level.

In the modern-game, these players are now tasked with many attacking responsibilities.
The manager is aware of this and says that Malacia has what it takes to be at Old Trafford.
“He can also take part in the offensive side of our game, and he can do that really well,” he said. “I think he will really contribute to the team.”
Malacia will be looking to impress on tour with Ten Hag and the Reds, as will the other United players.
He is excited for his new beginning in England and at United, after a successful spell in his home country.

“It’s an incredible feeling to have joined Manchester United. This is a new chapter for me, a new league with new team-mates and a tremendous manager [Erik ten Hag] leading us." He said after joining.
“I know from playing against his teams in the Eredivisie, the qualities that he has and what he demands of his players.
“Whilst I know that I am still young and will continue to develop, I can promise the United fans that I will leave everything on the pitch every time I pull on the red shirt. I’ll always be thankful to Feyenoord for all they have given to me and my family.
“None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for them. Now I’m ready to focus on the future with United, and help my new club achieve success.”
