Netherlands international Donny van de Beek, has spoken of his goals at Old Trafford whilst on pre-season tour in Australia, with the Dutchman determined to increase his minutes on the field.
The Manchester United midfielder spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at fellow Premier League side, Everton, but struggled to be a consistent feature in the side due to injuries.
He is now determined to impress, with his former Ajax head coach, Erik ten Hag, taking the reins at United.

Despite his previous troubles, Van de Beek is proud to represent the 20-time Premier League winners.
"United is a massive club with a lot of fans and, to wear the shirt, it’s always a special feeling.” He told the club website in a recent interview.
He will be hoping he gets increased opportunities next season, with the midfielder tipped to regain the form that saw him join United for a £35 million fee in 2020.
Two goals and two assists for the Reds in 50 appearances has cast doubt amongst the fanbase about the Dutchman’s ability, with the 25 year-old sent out on loan to Everton last season after struggling to feature under former interim head coach, Ralf Rangnick.

“For my experience, I think the Everton loan was good.” United's no.34 explained. "Obviously, I was a little bit unlucky with my injuries.
“I missed a lot of games but to have that experience… it was not an easy season for the team, because we played to avoid relegation, which is not what you want for a club like Everton, but, overall, it was a good experience to be there.”
While only making seven appearances for the Merseyside team, Van de Beek showed some of the promise and ability that led to Manchester United signing him from Ajax to begin with.

With Erik ten Hag at the helm, fans will be hoping that the coach can get the most out of the midfielder and make him an integral part of the team.
The Dutchman was also keen to highlight the need for an improvement in the team’s performance as a whole after one of their worst campaigns in Premier League history.
"I think we need to improve as a team. If you’re looking at last season, we have a lot of things to improve and, if we work on that now, then we’ll see where we end up.”
Fans will be pleased to hear a level of accountability from one of the players following the campaign that saw United finish sixth in the league and fail to reach the final in any knockout competitions.

They will also be excited to hear the hunger to improve coming out of the United camp during their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, with this potentially being a result of the extremely high standard reportedly set by Erik ten Hag during training.
Van de Beek will be as eager as anyone to help ensure an improvement for the 2022/23 season, with the Dutchman determined to secure more playing time for himself at Old Trafford.
“I think making as many minutes personally, as I can,” He answered when questioned about his ambitions for the upcoming season.
It will be hoped by fans and the player alike that these ambitions for himself and for the club as whole will come to fruition when the season restarts, with Manchester United hosting Brighton on the 7 July at Old Trafford.
